The Kansas City Zoo is such a fabulous part of the community, and they always have great events going on. While you may think of the zoo as a kids’ destination (and it is great for kids!), the Kansas City Zoo actually has some great events for adults as well!

This Thursday, the zoo is hosting an event that combines two very awesome things: beer and penguins! Come on, how can you resist? Just come to the Boulevard Boathouse in the Africa section of the zoo this Thursday night to enjoy Pints for Penguins!

Don your favorite black and white business casual outfit and get ready to win great prizes, enjoy exclusive animal experiences, and sample fabulous beers from Boulevard Brewing Company! The sampling will include Boulevard Pilsner, ZON, Lunar Ale, and Dark Truth Stout. There will be delicious food from Blanc Burgers + Bottles, music with DJ Eric Coomes, and a raffle for some great prizes, like an outfit from Penguin by Munsingwear, courtesy of Hall’s.

But the very best part of this event is that all of the money raised will go towards bringing penguins to the Kansas City Zoo! And really, who can resist those cute little guys? So join the KC Zoo for “hoppy” hour this Thursday and make like a penguin if you want to see the adorable flightless waterfowl at our zoo. The Kansas City Zoo is less than 15 minutes from The Ridge at Chestnut Apartments.
